Stella Historical Society & Museum

Preserving Stella's History

The Stella Historical Society was founded in 1976 with the mission to engage, delight, and educate the community through the presentation and exploration of history. The collection is extended to the public as a source of lifelong learning.

Located in the heart of Stella, the SHS has restored this area through private donations, grants and membership dues.

The Museum's collection includes artifacts, photographs, postcards, newspapers, and prints. The Museum uses its collection for Exhibitions and Educational programs.

The Stella  Historical Society hosts and facilitates many lively events  for the community, including the annual Remnants of the Past and Kids Day at the Museum.

We have an engaging volunteer and docent program, where volunteers and student  are able to work directly with our museum staff in the SHS ongoing restoration and preservation projects.
